Dr. Francesca Fajinmi was born in England. Her forming years through age 18 were spent in Nigeria, where she completed her high school and a post-high school classes referred to as Advance Level classes. She wanted to study medicine but was admitted for Vet. Medicine at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria, so she decided to pursue her undergraduate degree in London. She was admitted for Chemical Engineering but midway through the program, her interest waned. She realized she had a passion for business, so she changed path. She obtained her bachelor’s in accountancy, master’s in business administration followed by a doctoral in Business, with a specialization in International Business.
In 2020, she was challenged to create a platform where all people will have the opportunity to understand, influence, and advance black matters. The death of George Floyd was the catalyst. She was initially fearful about the proposition because of the possibility of a backlash or losing her position in corporate, but her son reminded her that it would be a small price for the cause.
Why “Your Black Matters”? You will be shocked to realize that, every individual, all people, of all race and creed, all over the world, has a black matter. Her goal is to take you through this journey, so you can understand the depth of this phenomenon, and how you can be an informed and an active participant and contributor in advancing black matters. Her goal is to uplift, amplify, and inspire the Black race anywhere in the world.
Through her professional career and drive for mission work, she has visited about 60 countries, and still counting. She founded and hosts in Los Angeles, The Academic Excellence program, where C-level executives and above, gather to motivate youth. She mentors aspiring entrepreneurs through various foundations world-wide, and supports youth through SME Connect, an organization facilitating youth entrepreneurship and economic growth on the continent of Africa. She is a founding member of the Fajinmi Foundation, where under-privileged youth are sponsored to attend colleges and universities in Africa.
Dr. Fajinmi is the CEO of MFE Corp, she is also a coach, an author, and a speaker on Black race relations, leadership development, and youth empowerment. She is the author of Black Mystery, a book on Black Groups Dynamics and Perspectives of White People. She is the host of Reimagining Black Relations, a podcast of solutions to all issues relating to the Black race. She is an insightful and engaging speaker, teacher, and coach, working through progressive and sustainable changes one community at a time.
