Generational Transformation Starts With: Scholarships for Black Youth to Attend University in Africa

Founded in 2020, Your Black Matters (YBM) provides 4-year scholarships for financially challenged but academically talented young Black people to attend a university in Africa.

Our Revolutionary Model: Students earn their degree while building a parallel path - launching businesses, gaining professional certifications, and developing marketable skills. By year three, they must operationalize their venture or secure a professional career. They graduate not searching for jobs, but with thriving businesses or careers already underway.

We provide scholarships, mentorship, technical training, and startup funding. Some students receive 50/50 venture capital partnerships to launch their businesses while still in school.
